The regional health authorities decided, this Thursday afternoon, to transport patients hospitalized in the covid unit at Tataouine regional hospital, to other health institutions.
The reason behind the decision is the disruption of oxygen supplies in the hospital as the truck to bring the oxygen was delayed. The management of the establishment had to resort to the usage of oxygen cylinders while arranging to transfer patients to other institutions.
This situation created an atmosphere of tension, where the families of the sick lamented this neglect and demanded the establishment of a field hospital.
