A well-informed source told Tunisie Numérique that the exceptional congress of the Tunisian General Labor Union (UGTT) will take place on July 8 and 9, 2021 in the attendance of approximately 600 trade unionists despite the establishment of general lockdown in Sousse.
According to the same source, the congress will take place in a hotel in Sousse after having received authorizations from the Ministry of Health and the governorate of Sousse. All participants are expected to present a negative rapid test before coming to the hotel, given that they agree not to leave the place for 48 hours.
Another test will likewise be performed at the conclusion of the event. In addition, all trade unionists will be accommodated in individual rooms to guarantee proper compliance with the health protocol decreed by the authorities. According to the same source, doctors and nurses will be their to provide health care if required.
