Tunisia-Ezzeddine Saidane: The wage bill now represents more than 61% of the state budget

In a statement to a private radio station, economist Ezzeddine Saidane maintained that the salary bill now accounts for more than 61% of the state budget. Emphasizing that this is a first in the world, the economist warned against the consequences of granting a budget similar to the payments of the salaries of civil servants, because there will be nothing left to invest and to be able to handle the others expenses.

Saidane further said that public debt now represents more than 100% of GDP.
