Health Minister Faouzi Mahdi noted on the Pharmacists Association’s statement concerning the critical drug shortage.
“The shortage exists, but the situation is not that frightful,” he said, emphasising that the ministry is working to evade any shortage of drugs and to resolve all problems related to their supply.
He revealed yesterday Wednesday, December 31, 2020, that the shortage hardly affects certain types of drugs whose supply is hard or which are out of stock and for which there are alternatives in Tunisia.
Mahdi also added that the National Medicines Observatory will explain all these points in the coming days and propose solutions to avoid any shortage of medicines.
