Tunisia-Farouk Bouaskar announces victory of 23 candidates in the first round of 2022 legislative elections

The president of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE), Farouk Bouasker provided at a press conference held this Tuesday, that all the reports of counting, the preliminary results, and all the data will be at the disposal of the administrative court if it requests it, in order to dispel all doubts and what is promoted regarding the difference in participation rate between 8.8 and 11.22.

Bouaskar added that the preliminary results of the legislative elections showed the success of 23 candidates, 20 interior candidates and 3 candidates abroad.

He continued that 262 candidates went to the second round, including 34 women and 228 men, and he also clarified that 23 of the candidates in the second round belong to parties according to the missions assigned to them.

In addition, he added 57 appeals have been registered , and that they are being examined by the administrative courts.
