Tunisia- Fayçal Tebbini: The three presidents were the first to breach government measures

MP Fayçal Tebbini concluded that the measures declared by the government (in particular the general lockdown) drove several social categories to call for civil disobedience.

These decisions are so absurd in that they have been violated by the two heads of the executive branch as well as by the house speaker.

Indeed, on May 8 the President of the Republic Kais Saied moved to the Zitouna Mosque where he performed the Isha prayer, surrounded by dozens of worshipers.

For his part, prime minister Hichem Mechichi, visited the Bab Alioua and Moncef Bey bus stations this Sunday, the first day of application of the lockdown measures.

As for house speaker Rached Ghannouchi, he returned home after his trip to Qatar without observing a quarter of an hour of compulsory quarantine, the MP said.
