Tunisia-Ferid Belhaj: WB reaffirms its commitment to support the economic recovery program in Tunisia

The Vice-President of the World Bank (WB) for the Middle East and North Africa Region, Ferid Belhaj, revealed on Monday, December 20, 2021, in a post published on his Facebook page, that the World Bank reaffirmed its commitment to support the economic recovery program in Tunisia, for inclusive and sustainable development as well as to secure the financing of the social coverage program.
Ferid Belhaj evokes in this post a “critical ” meeting held by videoconference with prime ministerNajla Bouden, and her economic team, as well as the governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT). He remarked that this meeting comes at a time when Tunisia is undergoing a “delicate economic and social” situation.
