The Tunisian Confederation of Citizen Enterprises (CONECT) communicated its deep concern at the open strike carried by revenue officers, finance and control offices that began on April 29, 2021, without warning, taking businesses captive, as well as citizens and preventing the collection of tax revenues, in a difficult national economic context and a situation of crisis.
It, therefore, cautioned against the negative image sent of Tunisia to FDI and donors from whom the country is seeking financial support.
The Confederation has further demanded:
– The halt of late payment penalties for tax returns, established tax debts and deeds subject to registration, expired since 04/26/2021
– Postponement of the filing of monthly and annual overdue.
– Postponement of the filing of the employer declaration
– The suspension of the taxpayer’s response time to the tax administration
