Tunisia-FM Noureddine Erray meets with Palestinian Ambassador

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Noureddine Erray, met on Tuesday with Palestinian Ambassador in Tunis, Hael el-Fahoum.

The two parties reviewed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, including the delicate health situation related to the new coronavirus.

“Tunisia stands by the Palestinian people in this difficult situation,” said the Foreign Minister, reiterating Tunisia’s full solidarity with the Palestinians.

Noureddine Erray reaffirmed Tunisia’s constant position in favour of the just Palestinian cause, and its permanent support to the Palestinian people to recover their legitimate rights and establish their independent state with Al-Quds al-Sherif as its capital.

On this occasion, the Minister highlighted the very solid cooperation relations binding the Tunisian and Palestinian peoples and the long-standing ties of brotherhood that unite the two countries.

Tunisia will work to bring the Palestinian cause to the forefront of the international stage, he said.

For his part, the Palestinian ambassador paid tribute to the Tunisian people who, he said, always stand with the Palestinian people and never cease to support their just cause.

He also conveyed President Abu Mazen’s greetings and consideration to President Kaïs Saïed.
