Tunisia-Foreign Minister Noureddine Erray meets India’s ambassador to Tunisia

Foreign Minister Noureddine Erray welcomed India’s ambassador to Tunisia Puneet R. Kundal.
The meeting concentrated on the long-standing bonds of friendship binding the two countries and methods to expand bilateral cooperation in all fields.
On this event, Erray recollected the visit of Indian Minister of Foreign Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on January 22-23 to Tunisia, requesting for increasing visits exchange between the two countries’ officials and businessmen and diversifying the frameworks of economic and trade cooperation.
The Minister also emphasised the necessity to strengthen the legal framework governing relationships between the two countries and to hold the 13th session of the Tunisian-Indian Joint Committee as soon as possible.
He also emphasised the need to widen the scope of cooperation, especially to high value-added sectors such as communication technologies.
For his part, the Indian ambassador declared his country’s readiness to further develop its investments in Tunisia, inviting for the implementation of the agreements concluded between the two countries.
Both sides asserted willingness to step up coordination and discussion on multilateral issues provided that Tunisia is a non-permanent member of the Security Council and to cooperate in combating the coronavirus pandemic.
