In an interview with the TAP agency, The French ambassador to Tunis stated that Tunisia has never requested France for a decrease or rescheduling of its debt.
He affirmed that Tunisia is, surely, aware of the gravity of such an approach which could be harmful to it, since it would convey the wrong message to the international financial markets and to the donors, who would assume it as a sign that Tunisia is not solvent and it is unable to pay its debts to its creditors.
