The Tunisian Hotel Federation (FTH) revealed today the passing of the former President of the FTH Cap-Bon and businessman Raouf Keteb, one of the builders of Tunisian tourism since the years 1960.
Born in Djerba in 1939, Raouf Keteb finished a three-year cycle at the École hôtelière de Paris (EHP). Then, he operated at the Tunisia Palace in Tunis before joining the Les Palmiers hotel in Monastir.
According to the Journal specialized in tourism L’hôtellerie Restauration, in 1972, he was requested to take care of the construction of the Phenicia in Hammamet (supervised by the German group Neckermann), he became its director, then took care of the construction – another one – from Sahara Beach to Monastir. In 1980 he bought the Hôtel Méditerranée in Hammamet. Raouf Keteb likewise opened the Kanta in El Kantaoui in Sousse, the Aziza and a thalassotherapy center.
The funeral will be held at the Hammamet cemetery today November 9, 2023 after the Al Asr prayer. Rest in peace.
