During his recent visit to the headquarters of the hunger strike organized by “Citizens against the coup”, Rached Ghannouchi confirmed that he was an activist under the regimes of Habib Bourguiba and Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. He stated: “I began hunger strikes under the regimes of Habib Bourguiba and Zine El Abidine Ben Ali. I am willing to go on hunger strike now against Kais Saied because it is a noble action and the nation needs it. “
He further added that “Kais Saied desires to rule without parties and with one voice, and he likewise wants to seize power. Tunisia confronts the danger of tyranny and the exclusionary mentality. ” he said.
