A source from the prime ministery told Mosiaque FM the confirmation to approve the activation of the agreement to apply circumstantial measures for the press sector and journalists to confront the repercussions of implementing measures to prevent Coronavirus.
The pact will be activated in the government presidency headquarters in the presence of all representatives of the journalist sector,in implementation of the agreement concluded on the criteria and standards for the distribution of the amount allocated by the government within the framework of the Participation Fund.
The five million dinars will be allocated as follows:
- 250 thousand dinars will be allocated to help journalists and workers in various institutions who have lost their work due to the pandemic.
- 150 thousand dinars for licensed association radio.
- 4 million and 600 thousand dinars will be distributed equally among the written, audio and visual fields.
