The workers of Nessma TV still do not see the end of the tunnel despite the guarantees offered by Hichem Snoussi, member of the HAICA, following the sit-in in front of the premises of the authority. Snoussi announced yesterday Friday, February 19 on a private radio that the body is honoured to battle against the television channel under the boot of the president of Qalb Tounes and presidential nominee of 2019, Nabil Karoui.
He maintained“we are of the opinion that it is over for Nessma TV as we know it”… He slipped it in front of the general manager of Nessma TV, Zied Riba, who was partaking in the same show. He added that “Nabil Karoui is part of the company that was disbanded. Nessma’s equipment, name and logo will be the possessions of the new company. The latter could well be taken over by Tarak Ben Ammar… In fact, the two parties struggle above all on the change of the name of the company. The boss of the chain argues that they have fulfilled all the requirements set by the Independent High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HAICA) and that it is their right to keep the name Nessma. “We decline to change the name. We took ten years to build it. The HAICA inflicts it. This requirement blocks the situation. The change of name could lead to the disappearance of the establishment,” said Zied Riba… He said no worker was left behind, in accordance with HAICA guidelines. Despite that, the company has still not resumed its activities. As for the earnings, they will only be paid after the green light from the HAICA once the regularization of the chain will be recorded…
