Health workers in the capital protested today, Tuesday, in front of the Ministry of Health, demanding recruitment and regularization of their situation.
One of the protesting agents stated in a statement to the press: “The agents work under fragile employment agreements which imply a kind of slavery and exploitation.”
He emphasised that “they are deprived of leave and vacation and are only paid 459 dinars for long working hours of up to 48 hours”, calling on the ministry to interact positively and fix the staff situation through their recruitment, with contracts that maintain their rights.
