A school campaign to enable students to create national identity cards was launched on Saturday, March 03, 2021, at the Hédi Soussi High School in Sfax. This is a nationwide campaign that will include several high schools across the nation.
Speaking to Tunisie Numérique, the headmistress of the high school said that the campaign targets students in the third year of secondary school to allow them to make the national identity card.
The campaign is organized by the Yasmine Association in partnership with the Ministry of Education, she said, specifying that it is an event under the theme “Citizen student” because the student will today face a number of state institutions.
The campaign will run for 20 days to allow all students to obtain their ID cards, she said.
The event, attended by Governor Anis Oueslati and regional and education officials, includes a number of cultural activities carried out by student clubs.
