Tunisia-is Nejla Bouden, the new prime minister?

The President of the Republic, Kais Saied has just tasked Nejla Romdhan Bouden to form the new government.

Born in 1958 and professor of Geology at the National School of Engineers of Tunis ENIT, Bouden is an engineer and possesses a doctorate in geology from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris. She additionally holds a doctorate in geology and a master’s degree in petroleum exploration and has authored various studies in the field of geology.

She held the position of Director General and Head of the Management Unit of the Modernization of Higher Education Project in support of Employability, PromESsE, before occupying the post of Policy Officer with the Cabinet of the Minister of ‘Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chiheb Bouden, in 2015.
