Tunisia-Italian Foreign Minister: We must return migrants to Tunisia immediately

In an interview with Il Sole 24 ORE, Itlay foreign minister Luigi Di Maio expressed the need to activate mechanisms to return migrants to Tunisia immediately.
Tunisia is a safe country for us so any migrant that arrive at us must be returned, there is no reason to grant asylum and allow these people to stay in Italy.
He pointed out that 11,000 migrants arrived in Italy with 5200 departing from Tunisia,Stressing that nothing has been modified in the system of residence permits, and therefore we did not unleash its issuance.

When facing the issue of migration, this is arranged in a context that involves very high risks from extremism and terrorism in these countries, he added.
The Italian FM asserted that the European Union should resume the redistribution of migrants.
