Out of 1454 COVID-19 tests carried out, including 39 in the framework of the follow-up of active cases, 34 came out positive, the Health Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday. They include 20 new cases of which 3 are local infections,17 are new imported cases and و14 previously confirmed cases who were still infected with this virus”.
The overall confirmed cases have consequently reached 1488 from a total of 92710 tests carried out since the outbreak of the pandemic last March.
The overall assessment reveals 1178 recoveries, 50 deaths and 260 active cases, including 8 hospitalised.
The Health Ministry stated that all active cases have been kept in specialised quarantine centres.
