Tunisia- Iyadh Elloumi suspends Finance Committee, threatens to resign

Chairman of the Finance Committee at the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) decided to halt the committee works and threatened to resign if a facility is not granted for him and other committee members.Elloumi gave an ultimatum to meet his demands.

In the same context, Elloumi individually dismissed the Finance Ministry’s commission after an interruption by the representative of the ministry, telling journalists he “wanted the MPs to vote without any pressure from the Ministry.”
