No case of coronavirus has been registered in the governorate of Bizerte or any other area of Tunisia, Regional Health Director Jameleddine Saidani announced on Monday.
He dismissed some information published on social networks according to which a citizen, originally from Menzel Jemil, back from Italy, would be hit by this virus.
The regional monitoring committee is closely following the situation in all areas, both in health institutions and in seaports and commercial ports, he told the TAP agency.
The same source added that public awareness campaigns and programmes on coronavirus prevention measures to be followed have been strengthened.
