The July 25 movement “called to delay the legislative elections scheduled for December 17, 2022,” pending “to form a healthy political and electoral climate”.
Harak president Mahmoud Ben M’Barek highlighted, at a press conference held on Monday in Tunis that his political movement will resist the parties that work for the return of the “black decade” political system.
Ben M’Barek confirmed that Harak activists will submit applications for the next legislative elections, in the majority of electoral districts.
On the other hand, he stated that the idea of boycotting the elections is still envisaged if the President of the Republic does not proceed to the modification of the electoral law and rectify the process of July 25.
“We have begun consultations to offer a salvation initiative and rescue this process from the registered drifts,” he said. In this context, the member of the Harak political bureau, Hatem Yahyai, said that this initiative seeks to form a National Front which brings together all the national personalities and the political parties who believe in the July 25 process.
