The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed paid, on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, an unexpected visit to the Ministry of the Interior, where he gave a discourse in the attendance of the acting interior minister, warning against any try to infiltrate the ministry.
“Some are trying to infiltrate the Interior Ministry, others have already done so, however, be aware that anyone who attempts to do so will be out of the game… They will be discarded by history and Tunisia will eject them. Mr interior minister, I have no doubt you will confront these people with great vigour and place them in the dustbin of history. They have attempted infiltration many times and there is no difference between them and Ibn Abi Saloul, the greatest hypocrites of Yathrib, “said the head of state.
He added, “We will face them vigorously within the framework of the law. They must follow the decisions of the Minister of the Interior and the President of the Republic. There will be no way to exploit the interior ministry to serve their own interests. This ministry is that of all Tunisians”.
Kaïs Saïed further asserted that anyone desiring to interfere with the impartiality of the Interior Ministry, and any other public service, should assume their responsibilities in this respect. “Some people would like to escape the country. However, we have not touched anyone who has no legal cases. Nonetheless, anyone with legal cases should return the property of the Tunisian people”,he said.
