The Governor of Kasserine Mohamed Semcha declared the formal dissolution of Foussena Municipal Council, 15 days after the collective resignation of 13 of members, the TAP reported.
In a statement to the TAP, the governor stated he had notified the High Independent Authority for Elections about the dissolution of Foussana Municipal Council.
The 13 members, who had resigned on April 29, condemn the mayor for his authoritarianism, his mismanagement of municipal resources and the camouflage of a burglary from the municipal warehouse.
The mayor denied these accusations, pointing out that members of the municipal council have sought to dissolve the council since the onset of its formation.
