Tunisia: Launch of the remote business registration service

The remote electronic business registration service was launched this Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Prime minister Najla Bouden launched the platform, which is part of digitization. This platform will permit, among other things, the creation of the unique identifier of companies that is none other than the tax identifier and the establishment of a name and brand reservation system.

In her speech, Bouden stated that the launch of an electronic platform for remote registration of establishments, would reinforce the principles of transparency of economic transactions and assist decrease tax evasion, money laundering and the financing of terrorism.

“The administration is making efforts to develop digital administration in order to make the services delivered more efficient and fast, simplify procedures and improve the business climate, stating that the remote registration process of the National Business Register (RNE) will ease the use of documents, time and costs when setting up a business by adopting interconnection between businesses, ”she said.
