Tunisia-Lawyer, feminist Gisèle Halimi passes away

Tunisian and French lawyer, feminist, and essayist Gisèle Halimi have passed away at the age of 93. She acted as a counsel for the Algerian National Liberation Front, most notably for the tortured activist Djamila Boupacha in 1960.

She had dedicated her life to the cause of women and the right to abortion.
