Three weeks after being obliged to halt production following the intrusion of its production site in El Fawar (Kébili) by one of its ex-employees and members of his family who support him, the management of the energy company Mazarine has chosen to go on technical unemployment from Monday, June 21, 2021.
Confronted with the startling passivity of the government which failed to secure its production site and in the case of the absolute necessity of an incontestable gravity in which the demonstrators do not desire to hear anything to let the company resume its activity, the management decided originally to cease its activity and to shut down the site in Kebili, then to close its head office in Tunis and to enter into technical unemployment.
The unfortunate workers, therefore, risk finding themselves without wages because of an employee dismissed for severe disciplinary deviations which require his reinstatement or his recruitment as a teacher at the Ministry of National Education.
Needless to say, in addition to the colossal losses experienced daily by this company, the Tunisian state is experiencing a shortfall of approximately $ 75,000 in revenue per day due to this incredible blockage.
