Speaking to Tunisie Numérique,member of the National Chamber of Bakeries, Sadiq Haboubi, confirmed that there is no bread crisis, noting all bakeries are getting their required share of floor.
The same source added that some of the registered delays in the availability of bread are largely due to the closure of some mills and bakeries on the occasion of the administrative New Year.
Al-Sadiq Haboubi likewise indicated that today recorded a regular return of bread supply, emphasising that there is no problem regarding the supply of bread, remarking that some regions may witness a delay in the provision of bread due to the mills’ delay in delivering the bread material only.
Our speaker highlighted that monthly quantities of floor are available, and said: “Citizens must be reassured that bread is available in all bakeries 24 hours a day”.
