What is coronavirus?

  • It is a novel coronavirus – that is to say, a member of the coronavirus family that appeared in China
  • The virus causes pneumonia. Those who have fallen ill are reported to suffer coughs, fever and breathing difficulties.
  • New coronavirus can spread between humans.
  • Medical crews can be affected if they can come in close contact with patients affected by the virus. Medical staff and personal are cautioned to take necessary measures for protection.
  • No vaccination is currently available for the virus

 How can you help protect yourself?

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

What are the measures for travellers to areas infected by the virus?

  • Don’t come in touch with animals” dead or alive”.
  • Cook thoroughly the meat
  • Talk to a doctor or nurse if you feel ill 
  • Avoid crowded areas
  • Use Medical mask

Measures for travellers coming from China:

  • If you come in contact with Someone suffering from   pneumonia or any of the above-mentioned symptoms :
  • Inform flying crew
  • If symptoms appear after leaving the airport call 199
  • Don’t approach Emergency ward to avoid spreading the virus
