Tunisia-Ministry of Justice: Dismissed judges can collect their allowances

The Ministry of Justice declared the finalization of all procedures for the disbursement of dismissal indemnities to dismissed magistrates, on June 1, 2022, and that the indemnities have been available since July 22.

The department added that an approach was undertaken within the framework of the appropriate application of the law and Presidential Decree No. 516 of 2022 of June 1, 2022, linked to the dismissal of the 57 magistrates. This compensation is legally set, according to the ministry, at one month’s salary for each year of service, provided that the total amount paid does not surpass six months’ salary, specifies the same source.
