Tunisia-Monastir: 1st death from coronavirus reported in Tunisian prisons

The first-ever death from coronavirus was recorded in Tunisia prisons after a detainee in Monastir Civil Prison was infected with the Coronavirus.

An informed source told  Shems FM radio, that the deceased was born in 1948 and sentenced to 4 years in prison, he suffered from chronic diseases. He infection was confirmed yesterday, indicating that his health condition worsened today, which obliged his transfer to the hospital where he died.

The same source added that 30 prisoners and 8 agents of the Civil Prison in Monastir were subjected to laboratory analyzes to investigate the virus, pending the release of results.
