Tunisia-Monastir:30 workers injured in bus accident

Around thirty workers, originally from Nabbech  (governorate of Kairouan), were wounded this morning, Thursday, February 11, 2021, in a bus accident at a cable company in the region of Manzel Hayat in the governorate of Monastir.

The accident happened the level of the national road n ° 1 joining Sousse and Sfax, more specifically in  Hadadara of Jammel delegation.

The general secretary of the Basic Civil Protection Union of Monastir, Achraf Ben Said, stated according to Shems FM that the accident happened, when the tire of the bus snapped, prompting it to slip and crash with a tree on the side of the road.

Ben Said affirmed that a number of ambulances belonging to civil protection teams from Monastir, Jammel, Ksar Hlal and Msaken were employed to transport the wounded to Fatouma Bourguiba University Hospital in Monastir, Sahloul university hospital in Sousse and at the regional hospitals of Jammel and Msaken, remarking that the workers’ injuries are not severe.
