The head of the government delegation responsible for negotiations in Tataouine, Moncef Achour said that the rate of trust in state institutions and symbols by Tataouine citizens was low, adding that it wasn’t easy to convince locals that their circumstances are related or better for the people of the coastal regions and the capital because this discussion is considered not serious as it is not plausible to convince the people of the regional balance between the south and the coastal strip in Tunisia.
In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, our speaker stressed that heading to Tataouine was also aimed to at rationalizing some practices and convincing the people of the necessity to communicate with the authorities and build trust. Cooperation with the Coordinating Committee members was easy and positive, he adds.
