More than 6.3 million tourists had visited Tunisia between January 1 and August 31, 2019, producing revenues of approximately 3,399 million dinars, a remarkable rise of 45% in striking contrast to the corresponding period of 2018, said the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, René Trabelsi.
Talking on the sidelines of his official visit in Nabeul on Thursday, Trabelsi stated in a declaration that the ultimate aim of attaining 9 million tourists by the end of this year can be reachable due to the recorded recovery in the Tourism sector.
He justly remarked that all signs promise an encouraging tourism year, particularly as numerous hotels are properly packed until the end of September.
A significant influx of tourists interested in Thalassotherapy and Saharan tourism is reasonably expected in November, Trabelsi added.
