Tunisia – Mraïhi undertakes to modify constitution if he is elected to presidency

The political activist who revealed his intention to run in the 2024 presidential elections, Lotfi Mraïhi, stated he had surrounded himself with a team of experts who had contributed to the development of his electoral program.

According to his words, he told Jawhara FM that his team is formed of “balanced” personalities, including those from the administration and its senior leaders. In the same context, he continued, some attend commission meetings, and there are those who are afraid to attend and prefer to communicate in a more reserved manner.

He underscored that the first step he would take if he wins the elections would be to amend the constitution, stipulating the need to hold the president accountable and not interfere in the judicial system, adding that he supports the presidential system, provided that it is not a monarchical system in which the president holds all the powers.
