The regional director of Commerce in Nabeul Samir Khalfaoui told Tunisie Numérique, that a special program has been set in place to supply the local market with sugar and flour as the period of Eid El Fitr is characterised by the increase in consumption of these two products.
He stated that 221 tonnes of subsidized sugar were distributed, or 25% of the total quantity estimated at 885 tonnes.
Khalfaoui added that economic control campaigns were carried out during which 839 infractions were registered.
