The Public Prosecutor’s Office under the Counter-Terrorism Unit decided on Monday to initiate an inquiry, based on the outcomes of investigations conducted by the Bouchoucha anti-terrorist brigade, against former and current officials of the charity association “Nama Tounes”, for money laundering, suspected financing of persons or organizations connected to terrorism, inside or outside Tunisian territory, Mosaique FM reported.
Eight defendants are currently in custody, including former Ennahdha Movement member Adel Daâdaâ. Other people are in court, while suspects are researched, including Mouadh Ghannouchi, the son of the president of Ennahdha.
It should be noted that the investigating judge has started questioning the prisoners.
