During the period from December 3 to 9, 2023, the General Directorate of the National Guard in Tunisia conveyed results in the fight against smuggling, illegal migration, and crime across the country:

Smuggling:
- National Guard units thwarted 172 smuggling operations.
- Seized goods were worth 5.5 million dinars.

Illegal Migration:
- Maritime Guard units foiled 147 attempts at illegal migration.
- 2,001 migrants were apprehended.
- 5 individuals implicated in trafficking were arrested.
- 1 person subject to a wanted notice was apprehended.
- 9 boats prepared for irregular migration operations were seized.
- 45 foreign individuals were saved.
- Recovery of an unknown body was reported.

Land Borders:
- National Guard units foiled 14 attempts of illegal border crossing.
- Prevented 305 individuals from entering Tunisia illegally.
- Arrested 34 smugglers involved in these operations.

General Crime Operations:
- Arrested 2,545 wanted persons.
- Seized 165 vehicles.
- Arrested 45 individuals involved in drug trafficking.
- Seized alcoholic beverages worth 530,000 dinars.
- Arrested 10 individuals linked to this trafficking.
