Spokesperson for the National Guard, Houceme Jebebli revealed this Monday, from Sfax, where he was on a supervision visit, in the company of local and regional authorities, that the maritime guard units succeeded, during the night on Sunday, in thwarting 14 illegal migration attempts and the recovery of 300 migrants including 33 Tunisians.
He added that some of the sub-Saharan migrants were apprehended after this operation after they attacked the National Guard agents and almost sank one of their boats.
