Tunisia-New UK ambassador submits credentials to FM Jerandi

Succeding Louise De Sousa, UK new ambassador Edward Oakden submitted his credentials  Minister of Foreign Affairs Othman Jerandi, reads a statement by the United Kingdom embassy in Tunisia.

Both sides “agreed on the potential for increased trade, investment and job creation, following the ratification of the UK-Tunisia Association Agreement in Tunisia’s Parliament this week. They discussed working closely together to tackle climate change and to seize the opportunities of transitioning to renewable energy. They also spoke about the tragic terrorist attack in Nice, and agreed that close cooperation between countries is crucial to address the root causes of violent extremism.” adds the press release.
