Grand Mufti of Tunisia Othmane Battikh that someone impersonated the fatwa office on Facebook and issued a fake statement containing a fatwa forbidding the Free Fire mobile game.
Speaking to Mosaïque FM, He said that the Fatwa office does not possess a Facebook page and that all of its activities are published on its official website.
Battikh emphasised that he does not even know the game nor and that it was the first time that he even heard about it. “I have neither Facebook nor means of communication to follow these things” he adds.
