There are gestures that mark. There are gifts that save and ones that comfort. In the deepness of the health crisis that hit it, Tunisia was supported by all brotherly and friendly nations, each giving what it could, according to its means.
Donations have flooded in from all corners of the world, presenting an idea of Tunisia’s place in the hearts of foreign partners. And among all these gifts, there are some that have touched the hearts of Tunisians, because of the symbolism of the gesture.
So when Mauritania hastened to send what it could of medical equipment, adding a cargo of fish to the package, in accordance with the thousand-year-old tradition of Mauritanians of solidarity between brotherly peoples, this left a mark on the Tunisians.
And when we learn that our Palestinian brothers, despite the restricted resources imposed on them, insist on donating around fifty oxygen concentrators, it speaks for itself and leaves you speechless.
This confirms the ties of brotherhood between the Tunisian and Palestinian peoples. Links that go beyond classic diplomacy clichés.
