In response to the call of several of the Medenine farmers, the Regional Association of Hunters intervened and launched a campaign to hunt down the wild boar under the surveillance of the environmental policy of the municipality of Medenine and the Forest Service.
According to Tunisie Numérique reporter, the hunt targeted a number of areas, such as Hassi Medenine, Samar and Hassi Al-Musayyib, and resulted in sniping two pigs of an uncharacteristic large size in the region.
