Tunisia [Photos]: Production of phosphate halted in mining basin

The phosphate production was entirely paralyzed in the mining basin on Wednesday after demonstrations in Gafsa governorate in response to the measures of the Ministerial Council devoted to the region.

Demonstrations were organized in Gafsa and a sit-in at the headquarters of the governorate as well as protest movements in Métlaoui and Oum Laarayès.
