The Political Bureau of Qalb Tounes Party has given the green light for a delegation of the party, led by its chairman Nabil Karoui, to meet with Prime Minister-designate Elyes Fakhfakh on Friday.
In a statement issued after its meeting on Thursday, the party’s political bureau said the decision came in “response to the invitation Fakhfakh sent to the party’s chairman this evening to give his opinion on the government’s contract memorandum and the content of the previous consultations he had had with the parties that make up the government coalition”.
However, the party’s political bureau has not taken a final decision on whether or not to participate in the next government.
