Tunisia-PM Mechichi: We will enforce the law by force of the state to prevent disruption of oil production

Prime minister Hichem Mehcihi said after a meeting with several economists, that they are fully ready to go through the implementation of the law with the power of the state.

Speaking at a press conference, the PM firmly stressed that it will not be permitted again to disrupt oil production and the closure of the railway to transport phosphate.

He reiterated his declaration, saying: “There is no room now for a tolerance of halting production and cutting roads because this means cutting off the livelihood of Tunisians.”

He said, “It is permissible to express legitimate demands through the available methods without stopping production.”
