The rise in consular tariff given to Tunisians residing abroad and its outcomes was the centre of a meeting Wednesday at the Carthage Palace between President Kaies Saied and Foreign Minister Noureddine Erray.
The head of the state emphasised the necessity to accelerate the repatriation of Tunisians stranded abroad, emphasising the part of the Tunisian community abroad in strengthening the national economy and its contribution to assist Tunisians inside the country, particularly at this tough stage.
In this context, he evoked the voluntary actions carried out by the Tunisian expatriates to assist health institutions and citizens in general.
The meeting also addressed a number of issues, including the constants of Tunisian diplomacy.
In this context, the Head of State recalled that Tunisia has only one diplomacy which serves to preserve its sovereignty and interests.
