President Kais Saied affirmed on Sunday that the terrorist attack, committed Sunday morning in the town of Akouda in Sousse, “is a desperate crime that will not destabilise the Tunisian State, but will provide us strength and determination.”
He added in a statement to the media “any operation of this sort will not bring down the State and those who carry it out are mistaken and will not achieve their goals.”
“The Tunisian people have shown their backing for the security institution and all State institutions. Terrorism will have no place in Tunisia,” Interior Minister Taoufik Charfeddine stated, pointing out that the security institution will ensure security throughout the country.
