Tunisia-President Kais Saied welcomes Arab Parliament Speaker Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami

President Kais Saied welcomed an official delegation from the Arab Parliament headed by Parliament Speake Dr Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Salami at Carthage presidential palace. First Deputy Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives, Samira Chaouachi was also in attendance.
During the official meetingAl-Salami briefed the head of the state on key issues currently being discussed by the Arab Parliamentincluding, the Palestinian cause and the battle against terrorism and extremism in Arab societies.
Speaker Al-Salami further asserted that the meeting presented a rare occasion to address prominent issues on the Arab Parliament agenda, including the development of Arab legislation directed at improving Arab economic complementarity, especially in the fields of transport, bilateral trade and investment.

document on the growth of education in the Arab world was also at the centre of the meeting. Al-Salami adequately expressed that the Ministers of Education will be invited to review its contents.

He also notified president Saied on the active operation of the Arab Parliament in the humanitarian field and the protection of archaeological sites, especially in conflict zones.

The gathering represented an opportunity to graciously grant the head of state with the shield of the Arab Parliament and to praise his positions of support to Arab issues.
